After being approached by ~5 different tour operators in Thamel, I was recommended to contact Raj by people at my hostel. He was able to professionally organize a short trek starting less than 48 hours after I first came to the office, and gave me all sorts of advice on how to make the most of the trip.
Nepal’s tourism industry has been heavily damaged by corona, so I was very surprised and lucky to meet an operator that was eager to help me customize the trip save some money.
Lakpa Sherpa, my guide, was the kindest man I met during my whole time in Nepal. I can’t imagine a better host or a better friend, and I strongly recommend asking for him specifically.
I don’t imagine there is any better tour operator in the country, judging by the interactions I had with many of them before going with World Himalayan Destination. I hope to return in October to try Everest base camp and will be emailing them in the summer if it looks hopeful!
