The Ama Lapcha Pass trek is one of the most attractive, beautiful, and as well as one of the most challenging passes/treks in the Everest region of Nepal. For this trek, trekkers need to have good experience of Walking, physical health, and proper climbing knowledge. Ama Lapcha Pass Trek is very interesting, challenging, and enjoyable for mountain climbing lovers. To be honest this route is Via Mera -la and crosses the pass of Amphu Lapcha through Seto Pokhari and arrives in Everest region  Chukkung behind the island peak and front of Ama Dablam. You may get to watch a lot of views of mountains such as Makalu, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Mera Peak, Mount Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and many more. Amphu Laptsa Pass is called Ningbo la Pass in the Sherpa Language. The trek ends after the beautiful village of Namche Bazaar and Flies from Lukla to Kathmandu.

 


Trip Outline

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Preparation Day.
Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2800m.)This takes about 35minutes and then Trek to Chutanga (3050m.) it takes about four hours.
Day 04: Trek from Chutanga to Khartitang(3900m) via Zatrawala Pass (4610m.) It takes about six hours.
Day 05: Trek from Khartitang to Kothe (4095m.) which takes about four hours.
Day 06: Trek from Kothe to Tangnang (4356m.) (Sabal Tsho-Lake) following Hinku Valley (4600m.).
Day 07: Rest day at Thangnang for acclimatization.
Day 08: Trek from Tangnang to Khare(5045m)which takes about five hours.
Day 09: Rest day at Khare. This is an acclimatization day.
Day 10: Trek from Khare to Mera La (Pass) (5350m.) which takes about six hours and you camp here.
Day 11: Trek from Mera la to Kongmanima (5220m) which takes about five hours walk and you camp here.
Day 12: Trek from Kongmanima to Seto Pokhari (4500m) which takes four and half hours and you may camp here.
Day 13: Trek from Seto Pokhari to Amphulaptcha high camp (5500m) which takes about three hour walk and you may camp here.
Day 14: Trek from Amphulaptcha High camp to Chukkung(4800m) via Amphulaptsa pass(5800m) this takes about six hours walk and you may stay here.
Day 15: Trek from Chhukung to Pangboche (3985m) Which takes about five hours walk
Day 16: Trek from Pangboche to Khumjung (3790m.) and it takes about six hours.
Day 17: Trek Khumjung to Monjo, which takes about five hours. All the way, you walk downwards. En route, you pass Namche Bazaar. Stay overnight at lodge in Monjo.
Day 18: Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2800m) and it takes about 3 hours. This last evening in the mountains is the ideal opportunity for a farewell party with our staff.
Day 19: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu , which takes about 35 minutes.

This is an acclimatization day

Trek Khumjung to Monjo, which takes about five hours. All the way, you walk downwards. En route, you pass Namche Bazaar.
