Daily flights to Pokhara making it conveniently accessible from Kathmandu. The flight to Pokhara with Yeti Airlines leaves from the Tribhuvan Domestic Airport (TIA). The airport is just 20-25 minutes drive away from the major tourist hotels and lodges in Kathmandu(Thamel, Durbar Marg, Jawlakhel, Lazimpat, Maharajgung, Boudha). However, you are advised to buy some good time to leave for the airport to avoid any delays because of heavy traffic. Yeti Airlines flies at an altitude of 12,500 ft while on the return journey to Kathmandu it maintains an altitude of 11,500ft. The flight time in either direction is just 25 minutes.
Pokhara also is known as the city of Lakes and is an enchanting city nestled in a tranquil valley surrounded with the Beauty of the Annapurna Range with three out of the ten highest mountains in the world – Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, and Manaslu – a paradise for nature lovers. It is 200 km towards the west of Kathmandu city and 827 meters above the sea level. Due to its proximity to the Annapurna mountain range, the city is also a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit through the ACAP region.
