Rajendra RamtelFounder & Director

Rajendra’s (Raj’s) Founder & Director of World Himalayan Destination Pvt Ltd and also as a Mountain guide has allowed him to know each mountain intimately. He has started his journey in this field from the porter and has been able to become one of the successes in this field. He has 20 years of experience in developing, organizing and leading tours and trekking adventures.  Raj has safely guided almost 3,000 people from every continent.  People of different ages and physical abilities have experienced the beautiful country of Nepal and the Himalayas, through Raj’s leadership. Every person who has known Rajendra Ramtel(Raj) says that he believes in education, courtesy, honesty, and respect. He is honest and perfect in his work.

World Himalayan Destination Pvt Ltd (Reg. Gov. No:2617) is an official member of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN), the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA), the Village Tourism Promotion Forum–Nepal (VITOF- Nepal) and of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB). Through his hardship, he has been able to open a renowned trekking office has achieved many certificates.

Jay A PoppeSenior Advisor - Florida, USA.

Jay is a retiree who lives on the gulf coast of Florida, USA. He has a BS in chemistry with a minor in art and design. Retirement has allowed Jay to travel and experience many different cultures. One of his most memorable travels was to Nepal, where he and his roommate from college did the Anapurna Circuit. That’s when he met and became friends with “Raj”. As Raj’s business grew and developed, Jay has advised the company on “American” English and advertising graphics. He would very much like to return to Nepal and do other treks. For now, he is OK with following Raj’s adventures on Facebook and other social media.

Nirmala DulalSenior Accountant

Nirmala has been serving in the agency for 5 years. Besides being the agency accountant, she is the office manager and handles correspondence, documentation, legal procedures, banking transactions, and other official work. She has an excellent knowledge of the culture, religion, and traditions of the country.  Nirmala is a significant asset to the team.

Ramila PokharelFemale Tour & Trekking Guide

Ramila is a native of the most popular trekking area of Nepal. She has extensive knowledge of the history, arts, literature, and ecology of the area. With a bachelor’s in business studies, she is an adventurous person who likes to travel and explore new places. She continued her education and obtained a second Bachelors in Travel & Tourism. Ramila started as an assistant freelance trekking guide in 2013 for various trekking companies. This afforded her the needed experience to start her own trekking company, specializing in trekking, whitewater rafting, and hiking. Joining with Rajendra Ramtel, this became World Himalayan Destination Pvt Ltd in 2016.

Chiring Shrestha (Abbie) is a trekking guide & climbing guide renowned for conquering Annapurna IV. She works actively befriending her clients making sure of their comfort during the trekking adventure. Her experience in trekking makes her knowledgeable about the benefits and challenges of each trekking route.  Abbie makes sure her travelers experience the alluring natural beauty of the area traversed, leading to unforgettable and lasting memories. She climbed the Island Peak, Mera Peak, and Lobuche also. She has wonderful to speak English.

Wangda SherpaMountain Climbing Leader

Wangda Sherpa is the mountain climb leader for the company as well as a trekking guide. He has 22 years of experience in climbing and trekking the mountains of Langtang, Annapurna, Everest, Makalu, and India Ladakh. He has guided more than 6,000 people with WHD Pvt Ltd and other companies.  He has submitted Island Peak 65 times, the 6,189m Mara Peak 24 times, the 6,119m Lobuche East 23 times, and Amadablam and Cholatse 1 time each. He is Mount Everest Summiter. He can speak English, Korean and Hindi language.

Dorchi Sherpa is the mountain climb leader for the company as well as an experienced trekking guide. He has 15 years of experience climbing and trekking the mountains of  Everest, Makalu. He has guided more than 1200 people with WHD Pvt Ltd and other companies.  He has submitted Island Peak 6 times, the 6,189m Mara Peak 4 times, the 6,119m Lobuche East 3 times. He can speak English, Korean and Hindi. He is a specialist in the Everest region with 15 years of experience. He is experienced and all the tourist has appreciated his work as he is perfect in his own way.

Mingur Sherpa the fluent and well knowledge continuously working in the trekking sector of Nepal, Mingur has achieved many experiences and sound knowledge of the various places. Shera Sherpa is the mountain climb leader for the company as well as a trekking guide. He has 18 years of experience climbing and trekking the mountains of Langtang, Annapurna, Everest, and India Ladakh. He has guided more than 100 people with WHD Pvt Ltd and other companies.  He has submitted Island Peak the 6,189m Mara peak also. He can speak English and Hindi. Janga Bahadur Rai is the experienced trekking, Biking and Climbing guide of World Himalayan Destination Pvt Ltd with over 12 years of experience, he has been working in this company with great skills and he can speak English & Hindi language. He has worked in Tibet in his previous time and one of the climbing guides as well. He is a mountain bike specialist more than a trekking guide. He has worked in Tibet for 8 years and has experience in these fields.
