Dolpo Region

It’s a hidden gem filled with cultural impressions – Tibetan style villages, barren landscapes, mountain peaks, and fertile rice terraces. It’s expensive but also fantastic. The mystique and uniqueness of the Upper Dolpo region were manifested by Peter Matthiessen in ‘The Snow Leopard’ written in 1979.
