After being approached by ~5 different tour operators in Thamel, I was recommended to contact Raj by people at my hostel. He was able to professionally organize a short trek starting less than 48 hours after I first came to the office, and gave me all sorts of advice on how to make the most of the trip.
Nepal’s tourism industry has been heavily damaged by corona, so I was very surprised and lucky to meet an operator that was eager to help me customize the trip save some money.
Lakpa Sherpa, my guide, was the kindest man I met during my whole time in Nepal. I can’t imagine a better host or a better friend, and I strongly recommend asking for him specifically.
I don’t imagine there is any better tour operator in the country, judging by the interactions I had with many of them before going with World Himalayan Destination. I hope to return in October to try Everest base camp and will be emailing them in the summer if it looks hopeful!

Amazing experience to Everest Base Camp
Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience on the Everest Base Camp Trek! My guide Dorchi was really knowledgeable and respectful and kept me really safe on the mountains alongside teaching me all about local wildlife and sorting out lovely teahouses to stay in along the way. Raj sorted out all the flights and managed to book the first flights in the morning so despite bad weather I was lucky enough to make it back to Kathmandu as expected.

Very good guides and good organized agency
I did the Everest Base Camp Trek and the Manaslu Circuit with them. Had two really good guides. Before the nice staff gave me a good run down of the available Treks and helped me to choose whats good for me. No pressure in booking anything with them. Gave lots of help.

Manaslu & Tsum valley trek with World Himalayan Destination
I did the manaslu + tsum valley trek with world himalayan destination. Raj was very knowledgeable about the area and answered all my questions. He also was very kind and hospitable, offering me tea. Staying at his office felt like I was talking to an old friend. He also made it possible for me to go on this trek myself with the guide, because I was looking forward to enjoying some peace and quiet. A second trekker wasn‘t necessary.
I was specifically looking for a guide coming from the Manaslu area, and he was able to find Tharsing, who I could meet on the same day and turned out to be the best guide I could have ever gotten! The trek itself was amazing and I was feeling safe throughout! Highly recommended!

I had an amazing experience with World Himalayan Destination agency. Raj is a very kind and trustworthy person. He made all the organisation process really smooth regarding permits and everything. He was very helpful and gave me a lot of useful information.
I met my guide Naba 2 days before leaving on the Manaslu trek. He was incredible, the best guide I could except…always trying to avoid hiking with groups and very well organised. He brought us to the best guest house with delicious food. Always here to help, he was quiet and funny, the best company for a trek. My team and I really appreciate those 12 days with his company. He also chose the best porter to come with us. We had an incredible time all together.
I highly recommend this agency, the price is fair and the experience unforgettable.

Jeep to Salleri and Surke
This was my first solo trek in Nepal, I decided not to fly to Lukla but go by jeep to Salleri and Surke to see the country a bit more in detail. Raj from World Himalayan Destination was very helpful, organized all the transport for me and what I like the most ist that when I had a question, the responses on whatsapp came almost immediately whether it was morning or evening. I recommend Raj and World Himalayan Destinations. If you’re up to something similar and would like to use alternative transport, this is a reliable source.
