Mountains, monasteries, and high passes are just a glimpse of what you will experience on this incredible adventure in the Langtang region of Nepal, leading you to the summit of Naya Khang Peak (5,846 m) — also known as Ganja La Chuli Peak. This region is home to many Tamang and Tibetan villages and boasts an abundance of unique flora and fauna. Enjoy the solitude of this lesser-trekked area.

Naya Khang (5,846 m) lies to the east of Kyanjin Gompa (3,850 m) and to the west of Ganja La Pass (5,110 m).

The trail offers spectacular views of several towering, snow-covered peaks: Yala Peak (5,500 m), Pemthang Ri (6,836 m), Dorje Lakpa (6,966 m), Langshisha Ri (6,370 m), Langtang Lirung (7,425 m), Shishapangma (8,064 m), and the Jugal Himal range, located along the Tibetan border.

The route takes you through rhododendron, bamboo, and oak forests, following the Langtang Khola (river) through Ghoda Tabela (2,950 m)—a traditional horse grazing area in Langtang—and past Kyanjin Gompa (monastery). The trail from Syabrubesi Village follows the Langtang Khola upstream to Kyanjin Village, allowing for gradual acclimatization to higher altitudes. Along the way, you will pass fluttering Tibetan prayer flags, ancient chortens, and other symbols of the region’s rich Buddhist heritage.

On the physical side, you will encounter waterfalls, glaciers, and serene valleys dotted with grazing yaks and goats. You might even spot a red panda or the elusive snow leopard with some luck.
